The new Chicken Licken Ad… I love it

One thing that you should  know about me is that besides Personal Branding, I am a big fan of advertising. I love new, creative and timeless ads. on my previous blogs i used to describe the ad’s so i decide that with this blog i will just show you the ad’s.

Now… back to the Chicken Licken “Prison” ad, This ad is currently on of my new favorite ad’s, it just shows how much one can really be addicted to hot wings.

So this man in on death-row and the last thing that he wants to eat before he dies is hot wings. What is interesting about this is that the man who is delivering the hot wings is well known in the prisons, what indicates this is that as he walks into the prison and past the guards, they  greet him with a smile and excitement, it is as if it is a normal visit or delivery that he is making.

From my perspective this ad does not take attention away from the product, it promotes brand loyalty and it shows that Chicken Licken does not mind making a dying man’s last wish come true.

The ad does not send Adverchills down my spine but it deserves a 7 out of 10 for creativity, communication and keeping the attention on the brand/product.

This is my word and I am sticking to it

From print billboards, posters and printed price tags to DIGITAL SIGNAGE
I love how the Marketing and Advertising industry is evolving. The world is moving away from using print ad’s on billboards and in the shops to using Digital Signage.
What is Digital Signage? According to Wikipedia Digital signage is a form of electronic display that shows television programming, menus, information, advertising and other messages.
Digital signs (which mostly uses technologies such as LCD, LED, plasma displays, or projected images to display content) can be found in both public and private environments, including retail stores, hotels, restaurants, and corporate buildings, among other locations.
Digital Signage is not much of a big hit in South Africa in comparison to Most Asian countries and other developed and developing countries. But we are slowly moving in that direction. The other day i was shopping at Spar and I realized that they do not have the old price tags that were printed on paper, they now use the digital price tags, that for me is an indication that SOME companies are beginning to use this new form of communication.
I would like to see more billboards, in-store boards and motion sensor digital signage ad’s around the country.

Marketing is a way of life, it is everywhere and anywhere. YOU CAN’T RUN AWAY FROM IT!

—Ms.Manthi

New year, New beginnings right?…WRONG

Mmmm… New year, new beginnings right? Wrong!

Last year the marketing department at the university that I attend had a Marketing seminar for the Second year Marketing students. There were a lot of guests from the industry and guests who are lectures, they all touched on how self branding and how marketing yourself as an individual is important so that you as an individual can be able to stand out in the industry.

After all those guest speakers you would think that the students would listen, but about 90% of the students are still stuck on doing what they were doing last year and not making any changes or making an effort to brand themselves so that when they get in the industry they can have that unique quality that will stand out so that they can be employed.

What will it take to make people realize that marketing is everywhere? if you see yourself as a brand and you are will to work hard at making your brand a success. you will Love.Live.Enjoy Marketing.
